Niseko Central introduces Niseko Higashiyama Trail

Length: 5.25km (approximately 2 hours)

Vertical Climb: 344m.

Directions: Start in the centre of Hirafu village and continue on Route 343 towards Niseko. When you see Sun Sports Land you will see a sign on the left that marks the start of the Niseko Higashiyama Trail.

This Path runs for about 2km over bridged streams and raised walkways. After you pass Niseko Village and Hilton Hotel the trail starts to get a little harder and climbs up towards Mt. Niseko Annupuri. The steepest section of the trail starts at around 2.5km mark. After some climbing you will be rewarded with brilliant views over Niseko area and Mt. Konbu.

Afterwards you will continue downhill towards the forest. The trail finishes at the same point where it starts.

Be aware: if it’s been raining for few days you can expect large puddles on the trail.

Niseko Central recommends: Enjoy a BBQ after your hike. Check with Niseko Central which accommodation options are the best for BBQ and for special BBQ plans.
