Snow began falling yesterday afternoon and hasn't stopped.
Over 8cm of fresh, dry snow has fallen in Niseko in the last 24 hours, bringing more excitement for the the opening of the resort.
The weather forecast suggests further snow will fall over the rest of the week so make sure you don't miss out on your winter stay in Niseko.
