Hirafu

Hirafu in November covered in a blanket of snow.

Pull out your warmest jacket and your cosy snow boots with Niseko set to receive over 40cm of snow this week. Niseko visitors and locals alike will be gladly welcoming the solid snowfall, with the scheduled November 23rd opening of the Grand Hirafu lifts being postponed earlier this week.

Yesterday's snowfall hit around 18cm with today's expected snowfall 11.2cm, a solid 14.4cm tomorrow and 8.8cm forecast to fall on Monday. Temperatures are feeling more and more like winter with a low of -10 degrees Celsius today and -8 tomorrow.

With snow falling daily this week, hopefully riders and snow-lovers won't have to wait much longer to get out on the slopes for their first runs for the season. We are waiting with bated breath!
