Winter Season - Inspector / Runner

The Inspector / Runner's role is to attend Niseko Central managed properties across the Hirafu village after the guests depart to:

• Inspecting the room to ensure it has been left in a suitable condition
• Gathering room keys and collecting lost items from the rooms and reporting it
• Collecting rubbish and linens
• Checking for any damage
• If damage is found, check against our database to see if it is the result of the departing guest
• Log damage reports and communicate with Guest Services Team

 Inspector / Runner's will be responsible for ensuring all rooms requiring inspections within the day, are inspected within a certain time period to ensure incoming guests are not impacted by time delays.

 Inspector / Runner's will also assist in preparing rooms for guests arrival along with other general tasks and errands.

Important: Applicants must be eligible for an international driver's permit or hold a Japanese driver's license.

Pay Rate
 

• ¥1,650 - ¥1,950 per hour.
• 25% overtime allowance for hours worked above the prescribed working hours for the month.
• 25% late night allowance for work between 10pm and 5am.

Employment Period

• 18 November 2026 - 28 March 2027
• Fully paid training at the start of the season.
• Opportunity for contract extension.

Hours

• Generally 5 days per week, around 40 hours per week with a mix of shifts to give you a chance to go riding and enjoy the nightlife.
• Hours will vary through the season depending on business levels with less hours at the start and end of the season (more riding time!) and occasional overtime during peak periods.

Lift Passes
 

• A Free Grand Hirafu season pass with an option of upgrading to All Mountain at an additional cost.
• If you do not need a pass, you will be offered a bonus payment.

Travel Support Bonus
 

• ¥50,000 travel cost support bonus upon contract completion for new staff or ¥80,000 for returning staff.

Subsidised Accommodation and Staff Shuttle

• Subsidised staff accommodation available in Hirafu or Kutchan with all utilities, basic supplies and WiFi included.
• For staff based in Kutchan, there is a free staff shuttle to transport to and from work in Hirafu.
• Staff accommodation is available until the end of the resort season. Plus, enjoy a rent-free week after your contract ends to relax and pack up at your own pace.

Free Ski & Snowboard Lessons
 

• Great for first-timers and beginners - free ski/snowboard group lessons with GoSnow (dependent on availability.)

Discounts on HTM's services
 

• Discounts on stays, restaurants, rentals, massages and more with HTM operated businesses.

• For the best performing seasonal staff, we will want you back and can potentially sponsor a working visa for future seasons (provided you meet the sponsorship criteria). Full-time career options are also available.
