Winter has officially arrived in Niseko! 12 cm of fresh snow fell overnight, which has been steadily increasing throughout the day. After last week's confirmation that the opening of Niseko Grand Hirafu Resort would be delayed, it was a welcome site for all!
The forecast for the rest of the week is also looking promising, with 34 cm due to fall over the next 3 days and 65 cm due over the course of the week. These figures see Niseko sitting at the top of a Mountainwatch's global list of ski resorts for expected snowfall. Bring on winter!
